The intake process in detail

When you reach out, our first goal is to understand the full picture. We'll ask about who needs care, what's driving the search right now, and what a good outcome looks like for your family. We don't rush this conversation.

From there, we dig into specifics: the level of care needed, any medical or memory conditions, your location preferences within Arizona, your monthly budget, and what matters most — whether that's a smaller home-like setting, a facility near family, or a specific amenity like a pet-friendly policy.

Once we have that picture, we match against our partner network. We only send you options we actually think fit. No filler, no generic lists. We'll typically come back with two to four homes worth touring.

After tours, we're available to help you compare, ask the right questions, and think through the decision. Once you choose, we coordinate the transition with the facility. You're never left figuring it out alone.

Questions we hear all the time

Why is this free to families?
We earn a referral fee from the assisted living facility if you choose to move in. You pay nothing — not at intake, not after placement, not ever. This is the standard model for placement services in the industry.
How long does the process take?
It depends on your urgency. If you need to move quickly, we can often identify good options within 24 to 48 hours and coordinate tours the same week. If you're planning ahead, we can take more time to be thorough.
What areas of Arizona do you serve?
We currently focus on the Phoenix metro area — including Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert — as well as Tucson. We're expanding our partner network in Phase 1.
Are you a care provider?
No. ALHHub is a placement and referral service. We're not licensed as a care provider and we don't employ caregivers. We connect families with licensed assisted living homes that are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services.
What if I don't like any of the options you suggest?
Then we keep looking. You're under no obligation to choose any home we recommend, and we don't stop helping you until you find something that works.
Do you work with memory care homes?
Yes. We have partner homes specializing in memory care (MCAL-licensed in Arizona) for families dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia, and related conditions.
